I. Of the Bible:

We believe the Holy bible is divinely inspired by God; however, was written by devout men of God’s choosing (2 Timothy 3:16). We believe it is without error and shall stand until the end of time (1 Peter 1:25).  It is our standard for living and we believe in the overwhelming magnitude of its instruction in our lives (Matthew 4:4). We believe God has chosen to reveal himself through His word and is therefore our ultimate source of correction, encouragement, hope and strength for life’s journey (Romans 15:4John 1:142 Timothy 3:16). We believe it is the standard by which God will someday judge the living and the dead (2 Timothy 4:1).

II.  Of God and the Holy Trinity:

We believe there is but one true and living God (1 Thessalonians 1:9), who is spirit, immortal and invisible (1Timothy 1:17John 4:24); the maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 146:6), and is incomprehensible in his righteous perfection (Psalm 18:30). He is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being (John 14:26).  We believe we owe God our deepest reverence for He so loved the world that he sacrificed his only son, to give those who place their complete trust in Jesus Christ the precious gift of eternal life (John 3:16).

III. Of the Fall of Man and Sin:

We believe that our first parents, being seduced by the temptation of Satan, sinned in the eating of the forbidden fruit (Gen 3:13). In this they fell from their previous state of righteousness and fellowship with God, being dead in sin in all parts of the soul and body in a state of perpetual unrighteousness (Gen 2:17Tit 1:15). We believe, therefore, that original corruption, whereby we are utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite to all good (Rom 5:68:7) and wholly inclined to all evil, does all actually transgressions proceed (James 1:14Eph 2:2-3Matt 15:19, WCF).

IV. Of Salvation:

We believe that there is only one hope out of our most heinous of predicaments, that is being bound by the power of sins death grip in our lives; that Jesus Christ, who gave himself as a ransom for all, is the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5Heb 2:14); that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23); that sin causes separation between man and God (Isaiah 59:2) and the result is death (Rom 6:23) and wrath (Eph 2:3). The only way out, is to be saved by faith in Jesus Christ; that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of lost men and women, and that salvation is wholly by grace, through faith  (Eph 2:8-9Rom 5:1Rom 10:9).

VI. Of Baptism:

We believe Christian Baptism is a sacrament of the New Testament and is the immersion in water of a believer (Matt 3:16Acts 8:37-38) into the visible church (1 Cor 12:13), in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), where we are sealed in the covenant of His grace (Gal 3:27), of regeneration (Tit 3:5), of remission of sins (Mk 1:4), to walk in a newness of life (Rom 6:3-4).  Not only those that do actually profess faith in obedience to Christ, but also the children or infants of one or both believing parents, should be baptized (Acts 2:38-391 Cor 7:14Luke 18:15). Clearly in scripture, there are times when immersion is not practical in baptism, as in excessive crowds (Acts 2:41), with small children (Mark 10:13-16), or other extenuating circumstances related to health and physical safety;  during such times baptism is rightly administered by the pouring or sprinkling of a person (Acts 9:19-22Acts 2:41).
